Job Description

Job Overview:
The Safety Officer is responsible for supporting and advancing organizational safety, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and workplace risk management initiatives. This role serves as a key resource in maintaining safety records, monitoring compliance requirements, coordinating inspections and training programs, supporting fire protection system oversight, and assisting with safety-related audits and investigations. The Safety Officer works closely with internal departments, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to applicable safety standards while promoting a safe environment for staff, visitors, and the individuals we support. Additionally, the position provides administrative and operational support for safety committees, emergency preparedness activities, incident response efforts, and continuous workplace safety improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in life safety equipment management, fire and life safety systems, workplace safety, or a related OSHA compliance/training role. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and life safety equipment inspection and maintenance. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must be at least 21 years old
