Job Description

New Position for

SSHO:

Job location will be Ocean Beach Fire Island for the construction of a new well and building.

Responsibilities:

Conduct and log daily safety/health inspections. Conduct mishap/new-miss investigations and complete required accident reports. Maintain OSHA Form 300 logs and post Form 300A. Review, approve, sign, implement, and enforce the APP and AHAs. Establish and maintain a Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Deficiency Tracking System. Maintain SDS records, list weekly high-hazard activities, and deliver site safety orientations.

Requirements:

OSHA 30 + additional 24 hours of documented safety/occupational-health training within the last 5 years. Five years of cumulative safety experience within the last 10 years, managing or implementing a safety/health program on projects similar in industry, size, and complexity. This experience can drop to 3 years if the candidate has a qualifying safety-related degree or nationally accredited safety certification/designation meeting EM 385's criteria.
