Job Description
Summary:
Provides daily Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) support to plant operations by promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements, and assisting with emergency response. Responsibilities include administering and leading basic first aid and first responder care, conducting routine plant walkthroughs, monitoring and reporting visual emissions, performing safety inspections and audits, and supporting the implementation of HSE policies, standards, and procedures. Maintains a visible presence in the facility to identify hazards, drive continuous safety improvement, and support overall operational excellence. Performs additional duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Leading/administering Basic First Aid/MFR patient care Daily support of the facility with the implementation of HSE policies, standards, and procedures based on regulatory and internal requirements Foster a proactive and positive plant safety culture Complete daily walkthroughs of the entire plant Complete Visual Emissions/daily reporting Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and audits Perform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:
Emergency and medical first responder skills. A successful candidate must be willing to complete Medical First Responder (MFR) training and ERT Trainings Familiar with company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with public speaking ability a plus (teaching training). Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct training.Preferred Qualifications:
Very good safety record and demonstrated positive contributions to the safety process. Teamwork skills. Ability to take on additional responsibility. Experience with First Response is preferred Knowledge ofOSHA/EPA
