The Role We're hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Salesperson / Estimator to own new-business development and estimating for enterprise accounts and electrical contractors in the Philadelphia market.

This is a hunter-plus-technician role:

you'll build the relationships, walk the buildings, read the plans, and put together accurate, winnable proposals for new installations, upgrades, and system replacements. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who already knows fire alarm systems, already knows how to read a set of drawings and a spec, and already understands how electrical contractors and large facility owners buy. What You'll Do Develop and manage a pipeline of enterprise accounts, GCs, and electrical contractors across the Greater Philadelphia region Perform site surveys and takeoffs for fire alarm and life safety projects - new construction, tenant fit-outs, retrofits, and panel replacements Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and NFPA 72 requirements to scope projects accurately Prepare detailed estimates and professional proposals, including material, labor, and subcontractor pricing Build long-term relationships with electrical contractors who need a reliable fire alarm partner on their jobs Coordinate with our design/NICET, project management, and operations teams to hand off sold work cleanly Track opportunities, follow up, and close What You Bring Required Proven fire alarm industry experience in sales, estimating, design, or field work - you speak the language Ability to read construction drawings and specifications and produce accurate takeoffs Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire/building codes A track record of selling to or working with electrical contractors, GCs, or enterprise/commercial accounts Strong relationship-building and follow-through in a B2B environment Familiarity with the Philadelphia-area market and its AHJs (a major plus) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits Nice to Have NICET certification (any level) in Fire Alarm Systems Experience with major panel platforms (Silent Knight, Potter, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Simplex, etc.) Estimating software experience and CRM/field-service platform familiarity (e.g., ServiceTrade) Existing relationships with local electrical contractors and facility decision-makers What We Offer Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission Established 30-year company with 7,500+ customers and a strong regional reputation In-house NICET-certified design and a full field team to deliver what you sell Benefits package Real growth opportunity in a specialized, high-demand trade
