Full time Reporting to the Area Safety Manager, we are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Safety Summer Intern to support our Aggregate and, Ready-Mix operations. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in occupational health and safety while working alongside industry professionals in a dynamic manufacturing and construction materials environment. The intern will assist with safety initiatives, compliance activities, inspections, training, and continuous improvement projects that help create a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. What You'll Be Doing Assist with safety inspections, audits, and field observations to identify hazards and support risk reduction efforts. Participate in incident investigations, data analysis, and corrective action tracking to improve workplace safety performance. Support the development and delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives. Help maintain safety records, compliance documentation, and reporting requirements. Partner with operations and safety teams on projects that promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement. What Are We Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or a related field. Strong interest in workplace safety, risk management, and industrial or manufacturing operations. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and work collaboratively with employees at all levels. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Self-motivated individual who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and thrives in both field and office environments. Work Environment Combination of office and field work at industrial and construction materials facilities. Frequent exposure to active operating environments, including quarries and ready-mix plantsfacilities. Regular walking, climbing, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
