Responsibilities The Global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, continuous improvement, and maintenance of a comprehensive EHS Management System supporting the field service, repair, and training organizations across multiple global regions. Conduct routine workplace safety risk assessments, investigations, inspections and document findings. Track all health and safety performance metrics, incident data, KPI trends and develop risk reduction measures. Manage all workplace incidents, associated medical treatment, and recordkeeping. Identify any safety and health exposure monitoring necessary by regulatory standards and arrange for any exposure assessments and monitoring. Interpret, develop, review and maintain local procedures and processes within compliance of regulatory requirements EHS management system compliance and implement actions to maintain compliance. Participate in all audits, internal or external. Conduct training relevant to EHS, maintain matrices, and recordkeeping documentation. Coordinate inspections, testing, and maintenance of critical life safety systems such as emergency preparedness and business continuity. Manage contractor safety reviews, approvals, onboarding, and performance monitoring. Develop and drive sustainability projects focused on waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency, and resource conservation. Track energy, waste, fuel, and environmental performance metrics. Coordinate waste management programs, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste compliance. Conduct chemical risk assessments and support hazardous material compliance requirements. Maintain all Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and chemical compliance. Partner with leadership to drive EHS culture, compliance, and performance improvement. Ensure EHS considerations are incorporated into operational planning, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement efforts. Support EHS planning, and strategic objectives. Implement EHS continuous improvement initiatives. Drive EHS standardization for field service, repair, and training organizations. Serve as the primary contact for EHS regulatory inspections and regulatory communications.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong English communication skills both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively contribute to multiple projects and teams. Familiarity with federal and state government regulations. Ability to read regulations and interpret requirements. Ability to navigate global EHS regulations. Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills with emphasis on environmental and sustainability initiatives and problem resolution. Ability to work in a global, matrix organization. Monitor and communicate progress towards goals. Demonstrate excellent customer relationship skills (internal and external). Ability to effectively solve problems and develop solutions. Ability to work virtually in partnership with international sites. Ability to accommodate strategic working hours that align with the needs of a global network. Travel 20-30%
Education Required:
T his is an entry level position. B.S. degree in EHS; Occupational Health, Environmental Management or related discipline.
Education Preferred:
GSP or
ASP OSHA 30
Hour.
Experience Required:
Level I:
0-3 years' experience.
Experience Preferred:
Responsibility for multiple locations/countries. Proven track record in the development and implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental and Sustainability programs.
