HSE Manager - Job Description The HSE Manager role is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing all safety programs & trainings for our organization. The HSE position must understand and have working knowledge of the oil & gas safety requirements, road construction, and liner installations. The HSE Manager will work with all divisions of Assist Services to accomplish daily safety needs and provide
OSHA, DOT, MUTCD
compliance requirements. This position is required to perform the following functions: Attend customer requested meetings and field/investigative reviews BBS efforts are documented and organized in a usable format to determine safety efficiencies and deficiencies Supports production, completion, submission, and follow up of any required ISNetworld/PEC/Veriforce requests Assists with onboarding new employees and completing contractor safety trainings as well as OSHA and PEC Safeland trainings Perform/provide industrial hygiene monitoring as required for specific job sites Possesses a strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and D.O.T. regulations, rules, and procedures Ensures that company is prepared to complete internal and external safety audits Performs investigative incident/accident reviews and prepares presentation requirements in a timely manner Prepares environmental compliance plans, permits and reports; Maintain safety documentation and statistics Uphold drug testing expectations and requirements as specified in company drug free policy Participate in the weekly company meetings and presents safety events to leadership team Collect and evaluate field data to provide recommendations to enhance worker safety and health as well as compliance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures Attend site visits if necessary to define safety requirements and determine site hazards Prepare/revise company safety and health programs and assist field personnel in implementing these programs; develop and conduct monthly safety awareness level trainings Engage in networking, industry activities, and accomplish position required trainings.Skills and Experience Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and be responsible for tasks between multiple divisions Proficient with MS Office products including Word and Excel Ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in record/file organization Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment Must be able to perform under pressure or "high intensity" situationsPreferred:
Associate's degree or higher directly related to environmental health and safety or similar academic major OR 3+ years experience performing HSE supervisory duties in the oil & gas or transportation industries Veriforce Instructor certification All candidates must be able to pass a standard criminal background check and work verification check as well as a standard drug screen and fit for duty physical. Must have a valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
