8am-5pm (Flexible) Must be flexible to cover additional shifts trainings when needed)
Description of Role:
The HSE Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, coordination, and execution of the site HSE Management System. It focuses on safety and basic industrial hygiene initiatives, supports environmental compliance, and executes and improves policies and procedures consistent with the Company's vision, mission and values. What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education 1+ years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental related role OR a bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, engineering, or relevant discipline Working knowledge of safety regulations Proficiency in software systems including MS Office, email and web based applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, engineering, or relevant discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and/or Power BI
  • Basic environmental regulatory knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP environments Physical Requirements Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs). Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping. Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces. Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting up to 8 hours. Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet conditions. Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English. What will be your Key Responsibilities? Digital safety systems key administrator (Avetta, SafePermit, Everbridge, Enablon, Weever, Nexus/EtQ, HSE SharePoint, HSE Dashboards, etc.) Basic industrial hygiene monitoring (sound level maps, dosimetry, annual audiograms, etc) Coordinate emergency response team training, drills, medical evaluations, and equipment maintenance Coordinate inspections of eyewashes, ladders, AEDs, and fire extinguishers PPE program administration, HSE purchasing administrator and Safety Pillar member Maintain site Security policies and Building safety capability within the site Perform in person trainings as assigned Support trade contractor work planning and sitewide HSE communications Contribute to execution of strategy, hazard identification and solution development Partners with other key functions on initiatives including Engineering, Operations, P&O, Quality, S&F to develop and deliver site-based goals and plans Any ad hoc requests as requested.
