Job Description

Job Summary The Safety Coordinator supports the execution of safety and compliance programs by driving implementation, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will identify risks, develop policies, and implement solutions that impact regulatory compliance, employee safety, and operational effectiveness. Serves as a subject matter expert and advisor to warehouse and store leadership Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Drive execution and continuous improvement of EHS programs, making independent decisions to adapt programs and ensure alignment with established operational strategies and regulatory requirements Assess workplace risks and analyze safety data, exercising judgement to identify trends and implement injury prevention strategies; develop and maintain facility-specific prevention plans to drive continuous improvement Lead incident investigations to determine root cause and develop and implement sustainable corrective actions that mitigate risk and prevent recurrence; escalate significant findings as appropriate Establish priorities and drive follow-up on safety and compliance issues with minimal supervision Design and deliver safety training initiatives, evaluating effectiveness and recommending enhancements Monitor and evaluate compliance with facility safety policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices; address gaps and advise on corrective actions Evaluate workplace safety assessments, determining risk levels and establishing priorities and strategies to ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory agencies (e.g., DOT, FDA, NFPA) Conduct and continuously improve safety audit processes, analyzing results and advising management on improvement opportunities Serve as a trusted safety advisor to leadership, providing guidance that informs operational decisions and risk management Promote employee engagement and support initiatives that strengthen safety culture and performance Oversee the integrity and accuracy of safety-related data and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements Coordinate regulatory and compliance documentation processes, including: OSHA Documentation, Forklift certification records, USDA certifications, EPA Hazmat reporting Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational needs, prioritizing work and resolving issues with minimal supervision Additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation.
