Construction Safety / Data Center Construction Job Summary Atticus Safety Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Project Safety Technician (PST) to provide dedicated, full-time, on-site safety support for a large-scale data center construction project. The Project Safety Technician will be dedicated exclusively to site safety management and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of project Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, identifying and mitigating hazards, monitoring high-risk activities, and promoting compliance with applicable safety standards and project-specific requirements. This position requires substantial hands-on construction safety experience, including experience working in data center and/or commercial building construction environments. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: Completion of an authorized OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Course Minimum of five (5) years of career experience dedicated solely to data center or building construction safety Ability to work full-time and be dedicated exclusively to site safety management with no other assigned duties Successful completion of the client's EHS interview and approval process prior to assignment Resume must be submitted for client review approximately two weeks prior to assignment to the project Education / Professional Certification Requirements Candidates must possess at least one of the following qualifications: Associate degree in an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) discipline or EHS-related field Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Occupational Health and Safety Technologist/Technician (OHST) Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction (STS-C) Candidates who do not possess one of the above credentials may only be considered when sufficient documentation can be provided demonstrating an equivalent level of skill and experience in site safety management, risk identification, and safety mitigation processes associated with commercial building and data center construction, subject to client EHS approval. Required Safety Experience Candidates must have practical, working experience in the following areas: Confined Space Crane and Equipment Operations Electrical Safety / Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) Excavation Safety Fall Protection Scaffold Safety First Aid / Emergency Response Training Candidates must provide evidence of current specialized training in: Emergency First Aid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) First Aid, CPR, and AED training must be current within the previous two (2) years. Responsibilities The Project Safety Technician will support project safety activities including, but not limited to: Providing dedicated, full-time safety oversight at the construction site Monitoring construction activities for compliance with project and regulatory safety requirements Identifying hazards and recommending appropriate corrective actions Supporting risk assessment and hazard mitigation efforts Monitoring high-risk construction activities Supporting confined-space operations and controls Monitoring crane, rigging, and equipment-related activities Supporting electrical safety and LOTO compliance Monitoring excavation and trenching activities Enforcing fall-protection requirements Monitoring scaffold installation, use, and safety compliance Working with project leadership, contractors, subcontractors, and trade partners to promote a strong safety culture Communicating safety concerns and escalating significant hazards when necessary Supporting site-specific EHS procedures and client safety requirements Client Approval Requirements Final assignment to the project is subject to the client's EHS qualification and approval process. Selected candidates must successfully interview with appropriate client EHS leadership, which may include the Vice President of EHS and Regional EHS Manager(s). Any deviation from the established minimum PST qualification requirements must receive prior approval from the appropriate client EHS leadership.
