What You Will Do As a Principal EH&S Specialist, you'll use your education and work experience in the environmental / regulatory field and your strength in compliance programs to develop and manage occupational health and safety programs and initiatives in engineering and manufacturing environments. You'll use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence various groups including engineers, factory line employees and management located at 4 sites within commuting distance of Raytheon's Cityline - Richardson, TX facility and your responsibilities will include: Managing and continuously improving assigned EH&S programs including JHAs, PPE hazard assessments, RIDII (Safety Concern Near Miss tool), solid and hazardous waste management, sustainability programs, audits and inspections, managing contractors, wastewater, stormwater, and air emissions. Performing a variety of EH&S related inspections and maintaining internal audit readiness Ensuring waste management activities comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Oversight of refrigerant and air management programs. Supporting implementation of Raytheon EH&S Management System Analysis of leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions. Conducting first aid and OSHA injury investigations as well as conducting root cause analyses / developing corrective actions and tracking to completion. Leading projects to ensure promotion of the health and safety of Raytheon employees and contractors. Contributing to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement. Supporting the improvement of business and site EH&S communications plan. Developing and delivering EHS training to affected employees and contractors. Be flexible to accept additional assignments, campaigns and rotations to other EHS programs including environmental and sustainability Daily interpretation and application of internal Raytheon and external (e.g., OSHA, EPA, TCEQ) standards and regulations. Assisting with emergency drills. Participating in HazMat and Medical emergency response. Supporting onsite Wellness and Health Center initiatives. Some local travel (by car) may be required to support Enterprise and business initiatives. This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon's Cityline facility in Richardson TX. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience Experience with Environmental Compliance Experience with Occupational Safety Qualifications We Prefer Experience managing multiple projects and programs in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating effective prioritization and implementation skills. Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and follow-up on workflow in a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives. Experience with databases and use of other information gathering systems. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
