Ess ential Functions Maintain constant visual observation of multiple patients simultaneously Monitor patients for safety risks based on nurse-driven indications Verbally redirect patients with a digital 2-way audio device located in patient rooms Notify staff if patients require assistance using proper etiquette and escalation protocols Confirm patient information throughout all interactions Document all interactions with patients and clinical staff including patient and nurse introductions Demonstrate proficiency with variety of technology platforms Additional Responsibilities Reporting changes in patient behavior, and escalating communications as necessary using established protocols and best judgment. Notify VSO Lead when VSO has completed A/V check to begin monitoring or when CVM is discontinued by RN. Provide ongoing exception report to oncoming VSOs for duration of CVM.
