Job Description
About the Role As an Onsite Safety Professional, you will serve as the primary safety authority for major campus developments in Summerville, SC, St. George, SC, Moncks Corner, SC, and Augusta, GA. This project-based position requires 3 to 5 year commitments to ensure rigorous safety compliance and risk mitigation in high-stakes, critical environments. You will operate from onsite construction trailers, dedicating 70% of your time to field oversight and 30% to critical project documentation. Because construction timelines fluctuate, you must be available onsite Monday through Friday. Your schedule will vary across 2nd and 3rd shifts to align with project demands. We prefer local candidates, though relocation or temporary per diem packages may be considered for exceptional applicants. This position requires full-time, onsite attendance. You are expected to work at least 8 hours daily, with additional availability required for incident response and risk assessments. What You Will Do Oversee General Contractor EHS compliance through daily field tours, biweekly safety project management walks, and monthly evaluations. Provide construction management with real-time safety metrics, incident reports, and weekly EHS summaries. Facilitate safety committees and provide expert support for risk assessments, incident investigations, and project milestone reviews. Manage daily safety improvement and recognition reporting systems, meet site-wide service level agreements, and ensure the immediate correction of non-compliance issues.
