Contributes to meeting the mission and goals of the department and facility Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and regulations. Responsible for supporting all ASI facilities with Safety and Environment related issues. Essential duties but not limited to: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Develop and deliver training materials related to EHS topics. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, permits and reporting requirements. Assist with developing and implementing environmental sustainability initiatives. Assist with documentation and inspections for
ISO14001.
Participate in emergency response planning, drills and training. Coordinates safety/environmental programs to ensure a safe working environment consistent with all regulatory and environmental requirements and needs. Creates and maintains a work environment that encourages open communication and positive member relations to establish a climate of openness and trust. Conducts meetings/activities with various committees such as safety. environmental, ergonomics, and emergency response. Promote and train the KYT program to enhance hazard awareness, improve risk assessment skills, and strengthen the organization's safety culture through proactive hazard identification and prevention.
Criteria:
Good communication/problem solving and motivation skills. Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Available to support all shifts. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact and understand people
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate or bachelor's degree in safety, environmental or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, safety, or environmental field. OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certification. Experience in Industrial Hygiene is a plus.
