Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to champion our commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory standards. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety programs that promote a safe working environment across manufacturing operations. Your expertise will ensure adherence to environmental management systems, OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and workers' compensation law, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives that protect employees, enhance operational efficiency, and uphold legal compliance. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other environmental regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Lead safety training sessions covering workplace safety protocols, hazardous materials regulations, CPR/First Aid certification updates, and environmental management systems. Ensure compliance with environmental health regulations related to hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and emissions standards. Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with workers' compensation law and legal requirements. Prepare detailed report writing for incident reports, compliance documentation, audit findings, and safety performance metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and environmental health practices. Experience Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance standards. Demonstrated expertise in environmental management systems (EMS) such as ISO 14001 or equivalent frameworks. Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and workplace safety protocols related to occupational health. Experience conducting training & development programs focused on EHS topics for diverse employee groups. Familiarity with regulatory/legal compliance standards in production settings and the ability to interpret complex legal requirements. Strong report writing skills coupled with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. Certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED are highly desirable; additional certifications in environmental or occupational health are a plus.
