Follow all traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations to ensure passenger and public safety at all times. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, brokers using radio or other communication devices; respond quickly to traffic changes or emergencies. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues, safety equipment, and cleanliness; report any concerns promptly. Respond appropriately to emergency situations by following emergency response procedures for transportation, including CPR and first aid when necessary. Complete detailed logs of trips, incidents, and vehicle maintenance checks. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and state/local commercial driving laws Familiarity with emergency stop procedures, defensive driving techniques, and quick response strategies for traffic changes or incidents. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
