Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure a positive experience for all while adhering to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the community by providing reliable and courteous transportation services. Duties Safely operate commercial equipment. Follow all traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations to ensure passenger and public safety at all times. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, brokers using radio or other communication devices; respond quickly to traffic changes or emergencies. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues, safety equipment, and cleanliness; report any concerns promptly. Respond appropriately to emergency situations by following emergency response procedures for transportation, including CPR and first aid when necessary. Complete detailed logs of trips, incidents, and vehicle maintenance checks. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and state/local commercial driving laws Familiarity with emergency stop procedures, defensive driving techniques, and quick response strategies for traffic changes or incidents. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities. Valid CDL license with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated; clean driving record required.
