  • fiscal custody metering, controls, and SCADA Reliability Solutions & Services Specialty Pumps & Rotating Equipment Instrumentation Maintenance & Repair Services Duties and Responsibilities Field Safety Leadership Serve as the on-site safety representative for all Puffer-Sweiven personnel Work closely with operations, planning, and field teams to ensure safe execution of work Promote and reinforce a strong safety-first culture across field operations Maintain a visible field presence to monitor work activities and reinforce safe behaviors Permitting & Compliance Support and coordinate with the Work Group Supervisor (WGS) to ensure all permitting requirements are met Review permits, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and work plans to verify hazards are properly identified and controlled Ensure compliance with Puffer safety standards, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements Field Inspections & Audits Conduct routine field inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and verify compliance Document findings and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, rigging, hot work, and confined space entry Incident Prevention & Reporting Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety observations Identify root causes and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions Track and report safety performance metrics to site leadership Training & Safety Programs Prepares, schedules and tracks training to cover workplace safety, emergency procedures and other relevant topics.
This includes forklift, overhead crane, and rigging training. Maintains documentation of all the above. Conduct and support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task briefings Ensure field personnel are trained and compliant with required safety procedures Maintain documentation of training records and safety communications PPE & Safety Resources Ensure proper PPE is available, maintained, and used correctly Coordinate procurement of PPE, safety equipment, and signage as needed Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Ensure proper handling and documentation of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) Support compliance with waste handling and environmental procedures Coordination & Communication Act as a liaison between Puffer-Sweiven personnel and customer/client safety representatives Participate in site safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Inspects the work location to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Bachelor's degree in a safety related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience 3+ years of safety experience in industrial construction, oil & gas, LNG, or field service environments Experience working on active construction or EPC project sites preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards Experience with permitting processes, JHAs, and high-risk work activities Job Competencies Strong verbal communication skills
