The EHS Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment within the manufacturing sector. This position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company standards. The coordinator will collaborate with various departments to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop effective mitigation strategies. They will also lead training initiatives to promote safety awareness and foster a culture of proactive safety management among employees. Ultimately, the role aims to minimize workplace incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sustainable operational practices across the organization.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant federal, state, and local safety standards. Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Excellent communication skills to effectively train and engage employees at all organizational levels.Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification. Experience with ISO 14001 andISO 45001
management systems. Familiarity with environmental regulations related to manufacturing operations. Proficiency in using EHS management software and data analysis tools. Demonstrated success in leading safety culture initiatives and continuous improvement projects.Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Coordinate and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with management and operational teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of safety activities, inspections, training, and incident reports for auditing and compliance purposes. Support emergency response planning and participate in drills to ensure preparedness for potential workplace emergencies.
