Job Description
Weis Builders, Inc. is hiring a Site Safety Specialist in Lewisville, TX. This is a full-time position. Weis Builders is a premier construction company with over 85 years of delivering high-quality projects that make a lasting impact on communities. The Site Safety Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors on-site. The primary responsibility is to inspect project sites, enforce, and improve safety practices, policies, and protocols to reduce risks and prevent accidents. This position offers excellent opportunity to contribute to the continued success and growth of Weis Builders.
Assist project teams with the timely correction of identified safety hazards, which may include installing or repairing guardrails, floor opening covers, warning lines, signage, and other temporary safety controls.
Investigate incidents to determine appropriate actions and prevention measures.
Review and monitor subcontractor activities.
Ensure corrective safety management actions when required.
Exhibit operational knowledge of construction OSHA, and other pertinent safety standards.
Hold toolbox talks and assist with safety stand down trainings.
Assist Superintendent with 3rd party safety consultant visits.
Distribute new and changing safety related information.
Communicate with subcontractor safety personnel, supervisors, trades etc.
Key Responsibilities:
