Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Assistant Superintendent to join our maritime operations team. This pivotal role involves supporting the management of vessel maintenance, crew coordination, and logistics to ensure smooth and efficient port and ship operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, technical knowledge, and leadership abilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of maritime logistics, safety compliance, and crew management, contributing directly to the success of our shipping and port activities. Duties Field/Office Coordination
- Ensure communication from field to office
- Ownership for all aspects of day-to-day operations
- Ensure trade performance Cost Management Contribution
- Tracking/communicating cost issues
- Reviewing CORs/SOVs with TRE for accuracy
- Managing crew size
- Coding invoices (relationship to projection)
- Review / validate / communicate ticket work Schedule
- Creates micro schedules
- Progressing OPS
- Understands critical path logic
- Utilize schedule to manage MSL
- Forward thinking Technology
- Navigating the 3D model
- Overlaying drawings for discrepancies
- MS Project
- Recognize tools/resources available Meetings
- Run field meetings (foreman, trade contractor, safety)
- Heavy involvement in BIM meeting
