Hyperbaric Technician - MD Hyperbaric Center Position Overview MD Hyperbaric, a leading provider of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), is seeking a dedicated and skilled Hyperbaric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional patient experience while ensuring safe, efficient daily operations within the center. This role requires a commitment to patient safety, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey. Key Responsibilities Patient Intake & Preparation Conduct initial intake of patients, verifying appointments and preparing them for their HBOT session. Ensure all necessary paperwork, documentation, and consents are completed prior to treatment. Help create a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for every patient. Patient Education & Safety Review safety protocols and educational materials with patients, ensuring they understand the procedure and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain strict adherence to all hyperbaric safety standards and operational protocols. Promote a culture of safety for patients, visitors, and team members. Patient Monitoring & Care Continuously monitor patients during their HBOT sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Respond promptly and appropriately to patient needs or emergency situations. Build meaningful relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey, helping them feel supported and cared for. Patient Checkout & Treatment Adherence Guide patients through recommended treatment plans by scheduling future appointments and reinforcing the importance of treatment consistency. Assist patients with checkout and rebooking processes. Provide post-treatment guidance and answer follow-up questions. Help patients remain engaged and committed to their care plans to support optimal outcomes. Patient Education, Pricing & Treatment Plans Educate patients on treatment options and package offerings. Confidently discuss pricing and help patients select the treatment plan that best supports their goals. Communicate the value of HBOT in a professional, educational, and patient-centered manner. Chamber Operations Ensure efficient turnover of hyperbaric chambers between sessions, including cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing chambers for incoming patients. Perform routine chamber checks and support operational readiness throughout the day. Oxygen Supply Management Monitor oxygen supplies and ensure adequate inventory for scheduled treatments. Safely swap oxygen cylinders and follow all established safety procedures and documentation requirements. Center Operations & Cleanliness Maintain overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the center. Adhere to all hygiene, infection control, and operational standards. Support a professional environment that reflects MD Hyperbaric's commitment to excellence. Efficient Patient Flow Coordinate scheduling and patient flow to maximize center efficiency and minimize wait times. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a seamless patient experience from arrival through checkout. Technology & Documentation Accurately document patient information and treatment-related activities. Utilize EMR systems, scheduling software, and other technology platforms effectively and efficiently. Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. Qualifications Current certification or licensure as an EMT, Medical Assistant (MA), Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Paramedic, Military Medic, or other relevant healthcare credential preferred. CPR/BLS certification required (or must be obtained prior to start date). Certification as a Hyperbaric Technician is preferred but not required. Previous experience in a medical, healthcare, wellness, or patient-facing environment preferred. Strong understanding of patient safety principles and the ability to follow detailed protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients with professionalism and empathy. Comfortable discussing treatment plans, scheduling, and pricing with patients. Comfortable learning and utilizing electronic medical records (EMR), scheduling software, and other technology platforms. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
