Job Description

About the Role As an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, you will serve as a vital on-site representative to ensure rigorous safety standards are upheld in complex construction environments. You will act as a dedicated safety mentor, leveraging your technical expertise in hazard mitigation and regulatory compliance to foster a culture of proactive risk management. Responsibilities Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, acting as the primary liaison between project stakeholders and contractors. Conduct thorough hazard risk assessments and develop comprehensive safe method working statements to prevent workplace incidents. Perform detailed root cause analysis following any safety events to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence. Manage daily safety documentation and weekly reporting requirements using digital platforms to maintain accurate project records. Facilitate safety training and coaching sessions, promoting a collaborative approach to hazard identification rather than a punitive one. Oversee compliance with high-voltage safety requirements and industry-specific health and safety standards. Qualifications Required Skills Extensive experience in mission-critical construction or large-scale data center environments. Solid understanding of
NFPA 70E
standards and
OSHA 500/510
regulations. Proven ability to communicate complex safety information clearly to diverse project teams. Proficiency in occupational health and safety management systems such as
ISO 45001.
Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Professional certification such as the
BCSP CHST.
Demonstrated experience in high-voltage electrical safety environments.
