reviews Up to $70,000 a year - Full-time Overview The Safety Lead serves as the primary safety leader for the Berryville facility, ensuring a safe work environment through training, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, leading site-level initiatives, and supporting safety coordination across BPG-USA locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead site-level safety efforts to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters at the Berryville location. Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, visibility, and employee engagement. Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety regulations. Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs for all employees. Assign and track required safety training to ensure compliance. Serve as a trainer and mentor to Safety Coordinators across locations. Standardize safety training practices and materials across facilities. Respond to workplace incidents and emergencies and direct response efforts as needed. Conduct incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Track and analyze incident trends to support continuous improvement. Conduct routine safety inspections of equipment, work areas, and processes, including eye wash stations, AEDs, and waste accumulation areas. Perform risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Ensure proper use, condition, and availability of PPE. Monitor compliance with safety programs and follow up on deficiencies. Lead and facilitate safety meetings and ensure follow-up on action items. Analyze safety data and recommend improvements to reduce risk and increase efficiency. Support implementation of company-wide safety initiatives and best practices. Assist with safety reviews of new equipment and processes. Collaborate with leadership and safety personnel across locations to promote consistency and share best practices. Support audits, initiatives, and projects at other facilities as needed. Manage the PIV program, including training coordination, certification tracking, and inspection compliance. Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting. Ensure safety information is clearly communicated across all levels of the organization. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations. Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis. Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for reporting and tracking. Ability to develop training materials and standard operating procedures. Strong leadership presence without direct authority. Excellent communication and training skills. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high attention to detail. Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels. Experience Requirements OSHA 30 certification required. 3+ years of experience in safety-related roles (manufacturing preferred).
