About the Role Lemberg Electric is looking for a Safety Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll partner with our Senior Safety Specialist to ensure our employees work safely and injury-free. You'll spend most of your time visiting job sites, conducting safety audits, leading trainings, and collaborating with teams to promote a strong safety culture. What You'll Do Conduct and document safety audits across jobsites and facilities. Support the development and management of company safety programs. Lead safety trainings, orientations, and toolbox talks. Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Provide guidance to employees, managers, and subcontractors on safety issues. Collaborate with HR on injury/incident case management. Maintain accurate records of training, incidents, and safety tracking. Represent Lemberg on safety matters with clients, managers, and industry groups. Stay current with OSHA and industry regulations; attend trainings and conferences.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational HealthSafety (or 5 years related experience with a High School diploma). OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Workers Compensation, and claims management. Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Strong communication skills-both written and verbal; comfortable presenting to groups. CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months). Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 500
Trainer Certification (or ability to complete within 3 years). Experience in a construction-related field. Work Environment This role involves about 70% travel to job sites and 30% office work. You'll be working in various weather conditions and on active construction sites, using PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, vest, ear plugs, gloves, and safety shoes.
