$19.00 - $20.00 per hourJob description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated Production Sanitation Worker to join our manufacturing facility dedicated to food processing and production. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across production areas, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a food production or manufacturing environment. Your efforts will directly contribute to product quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, machinery, and work surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.Maintain cleanliness in all production areas, including warehouses, storage zones, and processing lines.
Follow strict sanitation protocols and safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections to identify sanitation issues and address them promptly.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage after use.
Support heavy lifting tasks involved in moving supplies or equipment as needed.
Document sanitation activities accurately in logs or reports for compliance audits.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule cleaning activities that minimize downtime.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low. Qualifications Prior custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred, especially within food processing or manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and sanitation standards applicable to food production facilities.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and handling cleaning equipment such as pressure washers or floor scrubbers.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols consistently.
Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods.
