Construction Safety Specialist Location:

Will be supporting work done by JM Brennan at the Port Washington Data Center and other large projects.

Job Summary:

The Construction Safety Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role plays a key part in creating a safe working environment on construction sites, reducing risks, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel. Assist Safety Director in investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective action plans. Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other regulatory documentation. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure all safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution. Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability. Lead weekly toolbox talks and safety briefings. Stay current on safety laws and industry best practices to ensure company policies remain up to date.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of construction experience. OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and state construction safety regulations. Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in outdoor environments. Willing to travel in

State Working Conditions:

Regularly exposed to a construction site environment including noise, dust, and heavy machinery. May require climbing, standing for long periods, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
