A leading food manufacturing company in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist/Trainer to lead safety initiatives, conduct employee training, maintain OSHA compliance, and serve as a trusted safety resource for our growing team. What You'll Do As the Environmental Health & Safety Specialist/Trainer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our employees are trained, protected, and working safely every day.

Responsibilities Include:

Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing safety training Train employees and supervisors on OSHA standards and company safety programs Maintain electronic and physical safety training records Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and GEMBA safety audits Assist with first aid response and manage the emergency clinic Support the Return-to-Work (Light Duty) Program Help reduce workplace injuries and workers' compensation claims Perform facility inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits Monitor Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, Machine Guarding, and Industrial Safety compliance Manage inspection records for life safety equipment Analyze safety trends and recommend continuous improvements Partner with Operations, Maintenance, HR, and Leadership on safety initiatives Translate safety documents and conduct training in both English and Spanish Communicate safety information clearly across all levels of the organization Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) — Written and Spoken
• Minimum 2 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Experience conducting employee training
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Organized with excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one (occasional U.

S. & Canada travel) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, or related field 3+ years in an EHS role Experience in food manufacturing Conveyor Safety and Machine Guarding experience GSP, ASP, CRSP, or similar safety certification Work Environment This position combines office responsibilities with time spent throughout an active food manufacturing facility. You'll regularly work alongside production teams while ensuring compliance with safety standards in environments ranging from -10°F to 85°F . Steel-toe, slip-resistant footwear is required. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.), walking, standing, and occasional weekend overtime may be required. Schedule Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Occasional overtime and schedule flexibility may be required to support production and safety needs.
