Job Description

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
Specialist/Trainer Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (overtime and occasional weekends as needed)
Pay:
Up to $26.52/hour We are seeking a bilingual Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist/Trainer to support safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for conducting employee safety training, maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations, managing safety documentation, supporting workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Conduct new hire and ongoing employee safety training. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Maintain electronic and physical safety training records for audits. Lead Safety Committee meetings and participate in facility safety audits. Support workers' compensation and return-to-work (light duty) programs. Assist with first aid response and management of the onsite medical clinic. Conduct workplace inspections and identify potential safety hazards. Perform audits related to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, machine guarding, and other safety programs. Translate safety documents and provide training in both English and Spanish. Partner with operations and other departments to improve workplace safety and reduce incidents. Track safety trends and recommend continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Studies, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of safety-related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with OSHA compliance, employee safety training, and workplace safety audits. Knowledge of Hazard Communication, Exposure Control, PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Emergency Action Plans. Conveyor safety and machine guarding experience is a plus. Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification preferred. Strong presentation and facilitation skills preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and travel occasionally within the U.S. and Canada (must maintain a valid passport).
