This role leads all physical security operations, oversees security personnel, and develops strategies, policies, and technologies to reduce risk and respond effectively to incidents. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in corporate, facilities, or contract security operations. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards for all sites. Lead and manage security officers, ensuring professional performance and adherence to company policies. Oversee daily security operations, post coverage, patrols, access control, and surveillance activities. Conduct risk assessments and security audits; identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective action plans. Manage and optimize security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, visitor management, incident reporting tools). Coordinate incident response, investigations, and reporting for security events, threats, or policy violations. Liaise with law enforcement, emergency responders, building management, and key external partners as needed. Develop and manage security budgets, staffing plans, and vendor contracts; ensure cost-effective operations. Create and deliver security training, drills, and awareness programs for security staff and other employees. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, security, regulatory, and client requirements. Prepare regular security reports and metrics for senior leadership, including incidents, trends, and improvement plans. Support business continuity and emergency preparedness planning and execution. Qualifications 7+ years of progressive experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field. Strong knowledge of physical security practices, access control, CCTV, and incident management. Experience managing contracted security services or in a multi-site or high-profile environment is strongly preferred. Proven ability to develop and enforce policies, conduct investigations, and handle confidential information. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Proficiency with security technology and basic office software (incident/reporting tools, MS Office or similar). Preferred Attributes Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or similar are a plus. Experience in corporate, campus, healthcare, commercial real estate, or contract security environments. Familiarity with OSHA, life safety codes, and emergency preparedness best practices. Schedule and Work Environment Full-time role; must be available for occasional evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call response during critical incidents.
