Job Summary The Manager of Research Security is tasked with developing and implementing security protocols to protect sensitive research data and facilities from potential threats. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of security measures and compliance standards to ensure the safety of personnel and the integrity of research activities. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. Responsibilities Job Duty 1
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect sensitive research data and facilities from unauthorized access and threats. Job Duty 2
- Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to research security to ensure compliance and best practices. Job Duty 3
- Collaborate with Information Technology and research teams to integrate security protocols into research processes and technologies. Job Duty 4
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Job Duty 5
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures and identify areas for improvement. Job Duty 6
- Monitor security incidents and breaches, conduct thorough investigations and coordinating response efforts to mitigate risks. Job Duty 7
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices and the importance of safeguarding research information. Job Duty 8
- Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and security agencies to enhance the organization's security posture and response capabilities. Job Duty 9
- Prepare and present reports on security incidents, risks, and compliance to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Job Duty 10
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to improve the organization's overall security infrastructure.
