Job Description

Job:
Sales Associate Reports to: VP Sales Required Education and Experience
  • Two year technical degree or business degree
  • Minimum 5 years of electronic security system sales with proven track record Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and build a book of business using appropriate prospecting strategies with Contractors, Architects, Real Estate Development, Financing and End-Users.
  • Actively pursue medium to large complex system sales from potential Clients in the commercial, residential and government construction industry to meet appropriate Grade Level sales targets.
  • Actively pursue diverse revenue channels from existing Client base.
  • Build trust and rapport with existing and potential Clients.
  • Identify, qualify, and assess Client needs to determine suitable products and services.
  • Prepare quote, contract, bid, technical and narrative approach proposal packages and collaterals to provide integrated solutions to help organizations manage their electronic security needs.
  • Implement sales strategies; negotiate and close profitable projects.
  • Negotiate favorable buy terms with installation partners on out-sourced prime jobs.
  • Monitor Client communication and promptly responding to calls and emails.
  • Lead kick off meetings with a variety of different departments, such as the Accounting, Service and Project Operations departments and/or stakeholders to better serve the Clients' needs. Skills and Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of security systems products, operation, and functionality
  • Advanced knowledge of the commercial and residential industry
  • Ability to read, interpret and strategically use life safety systems blueprints and schematics, sequence of operation, job specifications to close sales
  • Expert knowledge of project value engineering techniques
  • Ability to prospect, assess needs, articulate the value proposition and solutions, negotiate and persuade
  • Advance proficiency in computer office applications including System Manager, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, CRM platforms
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure while preparing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
