Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Account Manager oversees operational and administrative functions across a large, multi-site contract. The Account Manager is a self-directed leader who can operate independently with minimal oversight, manage multiple nearby locations, and maintain accountability across teams without micromanagement. This position requires comfort in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and a strong focus on fire/life safety systems and compliance.Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with security protocols and fire/life safety standards Ensure the highest standards of security, compliance, and fire/life safety are consistently met across all locations Administer internal control programs to support operational and administrative requirements Act as the primary liaison for client directives and ensure execution within contract scope Manage staffing, scheduling, and cost controls, including minimizing non-billable overtime Monitor and address attendance, performance, and disciplinary issues Prepare and submit required reports, including incident reports and staffing summaries Maintain and audit post orders, ensuring accuracy and availability at all sites Ensure compliance with fire/life safety systems, including fire alarm protocols and fire watch procedures Oversee adherence to hot work permits, confined space requirements, and site safety programs Support and deliver training related to security procedures, emergency response, and fire/life safety Establish performance metrics and ensure service quality and productivity Provide regular updates to senior leadership on operations, staffing, and risks Recommend and implement improvements to policies and procedures Lead and develop supervisors and personnel, reinforcing accountability and professionalism Ensure operations align with financial and performance expectationsQualifications:
8+ years of experience in security, operations, retail, or similar leadership roles; or 6+ years of military/law enforcement experience. Candidates should bring a strong operational mindset with the ability to lead in complex, compliance-driven environments Familiarity with: Fire/life safety systems (alarms, panels, response protocols) and fire watch/impairment procedures Hot work permits and confined space safety requirements Internal fire/life safety certifications and ERSI training Strong leadership and supervisory experience across multiple locations Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to work independently Able to manage multiple sites with light-touch oversight while maintaining accountability Skilled at holding personnel accountable without micromanagement Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Experience managing guard staff or similar teams Background in operations, security, retail, or similar fields (store management experience is highly transferable) Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills Flexible availability, including nights and weekends as needed Valid Driver's License required Ability to coordinate with and support First Responders Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability/Veteran.Pay:
