Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop strategies and processes to minimize company risk related to loss prevention/shrink. Develop strategies and processes to protect the wellbeing and physical security of Green Valley Grocery employees, customers, and facilities. Review, design and implement policies, communications, training, performance metrics, and reporting procedures to promote the pro-active LP and Security objectives of Green Valley Grocery. Lead incident management and investigations of all LP and Security related matters, maintaining effective communications with and between Green Valley Grocery leadership and external partners/stakeholders, delivering optimal resolutions on behalf of the company. Prepare detailed internal and external reports to ensure effective communication of Program objectives, activity, incident management, recommendations, outcomes, controls, follow up, and results. Maintain effective communications and relationships internally and externally to promote the LP and Security Program objectives and business interests of Green Valley Grocery. Maintain awareness of best practice and industry leading standards and ensure the Green Valley Grocery LP and Security Programs meet and exceed all relevant performance benchmarks. Engage with Operations and Risk Management leadership to review and develop the LP and Security Programs, and execute critical program priorities, initiatives, and continuous process improvements. Engage with other functional leaders to promote LP and Security Program effectiveness.
For example:
IT to review and develop optimal Surveillance and Monitoring systems, Finance to optimize program funding and ROI, HR to develop and implement training, and Marketing to optimize media and communications. Collaborate on business case development, analyze financial data, identify opportunities, and execute LP and Security processes to ensure optimal financial results across all entities and locations. Project manages key LP and Security Program initiatives from concept to execution, ensure effective budget management, communications, SOP implementation, results delivery, and ongoing review. Ensure adherence to all safety, worker's compensation and casualty programs and processes. Provide input, as appropriate, for new site selection and design. Partner with HR and company leadership on highly sensitive personnel matters related to LP or Security. Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information and role model ethical practice. Apply SME, negotiation, and influencing skills to deliver optimal results for Green Valley Grocery. Role model values-based leadership behaviors and professional standards. Other duties as assigned by Company Management.
Experience and Education:
Required:
20 years Security leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Advanced understanding of Security and Risk management principles, Law Enforcement, Security Law and Regulations, and Government, Employee and Community Relations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and training facilitation skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and influence people at all levels, both within and across formal reporting lines. The ability to attain any, and all licenses, including Gaming registrations, as may be required. Financial acumen and organization skills to prioritize competing priorities and deliver results. The ability to work full-time and such additional hours as required to support 24/7 business operations. Continuous local travel and some inter-regional travel. High school diploma or equivalent. Drivers' license.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Management, Criminal Justice, Law, Security Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Previous Military, Law Enforcement, or Government Security experience.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit/stand up for up to a full 8-hour shift, in the performance of the position. Must be able to work around various fumes, odors, chemical agents, and solvents. Must be able to work as a senior leader with limited supervision under stressful conditions. Must be able to use a desk top and lap top computer as well as mobile and desk phone to accomplish duties. Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
