Through 12/31/2026, extensions likely We are looking for a Data Security Specialist II to support enterprise data protection efforts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position focuses on strengthening security governance, assessing risk, and helping ensure appropriate access controls and policy compliance across systems and data assets. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on security knowledge with strong analytical judgment to advise stakeholders, improve safeguards, and promote security awareness throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the planning, design, enforcement and audit of security policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements. + Responsible for acting on security violations. + Maintains knowledge of changing technologies, and provides recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies. + Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. + Provides management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer, or corporate security objectives. + Evaluates and recommends security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. + Oversees security awareness programs and provides education on security policies and practices. + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Requirements Seeking someone with experience in PCI Compliance and all querying data from different sources of technology to validate security configurations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of broad IT experience, including exposure to systems analysis, application development, or database design and administration.
  • Around 3-4 years of direct experience in information security or data security functions.
  • Working knowledge of security concepts, risks, and control practices across multiple computing platforms and enterprise environments.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, or auditing security policies, procedures, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments, analyze security issues, and communicate critical findings to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with security incident handling, policy enforcement, and remediation planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver training or awareness guidance on security practices.
