Job Description

Job Description A client in the retail/CPG space is seeking a high-level AI/Security Manager to support the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of enterprise AI, data, and security solutions within our Data & Analytics (DNA) environment. This role will focus on guiding AI strategy across analytics, automation, and security—leveraging off-the-shelf solutions and working cross-functionally with architecture, security, and data teams. This is a non-coding, strategic role focused on vendor evaluation, implementation oversight, and aligning AI capabilities to business outcomes. We are looking for someone who has experience managing a team/leading people (will start off as an individual contributor role then will build out a team of roughly 2-5+ directs). We need someone who has experience in a MS Azure/Databricks environment, implementing AI tools with governance. This will be 100% remote and will be a contract-hire position. Skills and Requirements Experience leading or advising on enterprise AI strategy and implementation 7+ years in a hands on engineering role 3+ years of experience in a management role leading direct reports Strong understanding of AI applications across: Analytics Automation (RPA/process optimization) Security & data protection Familiarity with modern data ecosystems, including cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and data tools (Databricks, BI tools) Experience working with off-the-shelf AI/security platforms and vendor evaluation Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks (e.g., SOX, data privacy standards) Ability to operate at a high-level (strategic/architectural) without hands-on coding Experience with data masking/tokenization tools (e.g., Skyflow or similar) Exposure to LLMs and AI model ecosystems (Azure AI, Claude, etc.) Background in building or advising on AI-enabled data architectures Experience in Retail or CPG environments
