  • ### Position Overview Tacon 1 is seeking a Security Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple active sites in the Denver metro area.
This role reports directly to the Vice President and President and is responsible for managing personnel, maintaining coverage, ensuring quality control, and supporting the continued growth of the company. This is a hands-on leadership role—not a desk position. The position is hybrid in nature, combining field leadership with administrative responsibilities.
  • ### Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations across multiple security sites
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and coverage to ensure no gaps in service
  • Respond to call-offs, emergencies, and operational issues in real time
  • Supervise, mentor, and hold accountable Lead Officers and Security Personnel
  • Conduct regular site inspections and enforce quality control standards
  • Ensure all post orders and company policies are followed
  • Handle client communication for day-to-day operational matters
  • Attend and assist with client meetings upon request
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees
  • Review and ensure completion of reports (DARs, incident reports)
  • Ensure daily and weekly reporting requirements are completed in accordance with company standards and client requests
  • Maintain strong communication with executive leadership
  • Work in the field as needed to support operations and maintain standards
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
  • ### Non-Negotiables
  • Must have prior experience managing multiple security sites and personnel
  • Must be available for evenings, weekends, and on-call situations
  • Must be able to respond to call-offs and operational issues in real time
  • Must be comfortable working in the field—not just supervising remotely
  • Must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug screening
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between sites
  • Must have strong computer skills and experience with reporting systems
  • Must have working knowledge of communication platforms and scheduling applications
  • ### Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of high-level security experience required (military, law enforcement, executive protection, or equivalent)
  • Experience in executive protection and event security strongly preferred
  • Proven supervisory or management experience required
  • Training or instructional background preferred
  • Working knowledge of Colorado security licensing requirements preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure
  • Must be able to obtain all required security licensing within 60 days of hire
