Security Operations Manager / Qualified Representative (Protective Agent License MN)

We are launching a licensed Protective Agent (security services) company in Minnesota and are seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to serve as our Qualified Representative (QR) for state licensing and ongoing operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in security operations, supervision, or law enforcement who is interested in helping build and scale a professional security services company. Responsibilities Serve as the Qualified Representative for Minnesota Protective Agent licensing Oversee day-to-day security operations and compliance Ensure adherence to Minnesota statutes and licensing requirements Assist in building standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training protocols Provide guidance on staffing, scheduling, and guard management Support audits, documentation, and regulatory requirements Be available for state board communication/interview if required Minimum Qualifications (Hard Filter) Applicants MUST meet Minnesota Protective Agent experience requirements: Minimum 6,000 hours of experience in: Security operations or supervision OR law enforcement (police, sheriff, corrections) OR military police / federal security roles Experience in a supervisory or management capacity Ability to provide verifiable employment history Clean criminal background Strong understanding of security operations Preferred Qualifications Experience as: Security Operations Manager Account Manager (security company) Field Supervisor / Patrol Supervisor Experience managing: Guard teams Scheduling / coverage Multi-site contracts Familiarity with: Security audits Incident reporting Compliance procedures Compensation Structure Monthly retainer (TBD depending on involvement) Performance bonuses tied to growth Potential equity / long-term partnership for the right candidate Ideal Candidate Reliable and professional Strong leadership presence Organized and compliance-focused Interested in building a long-term operation , not just passive involvement Able to actively participate in operations (not just "on paper") This is NOT an entry-level security role.
