Key Responsibilities:
Security Governance & Policy Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide physical security and access control policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Establish and govern approval workflows for employee, contractor, visitor, and temporary support personnel access across multiple facilities.
- Ensure consistent application and enforcement of security protocols and site access requirements.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability reviews; develop corrective action plans. Access Control & Industrial Security
- Lead and oversee access control systems, badge programs, visitor management, and restricted area security controls.
- Govern surveillance systems including CCTV, alarms, intrusion detection, and security monitoring technologies.
- Establish and enforce industrial and intellectual property protection measures, including restricted-area protocols and sensitive asset protection.
- Partner with IT and Facilities teams to ensure physical and electronic access security alignment. Incident Investigation & Risk Prevention
- Lead investigations involving theft, workplace violence, policy violations, security breaches, or suspicious activities.
- Prepare professional investigation reports, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation recommendations.
- Support crisis management, emergency response planning, and business continuity programs.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and security-related response exercises. Cross-Functional & External Partnership
- Collaborate with HR, EHS, Operations, and leadership regarding security-related escalations and investigations while maintaining clear functional ownership boundaries.
- Partner with EHS and Facilities to support emergency readiness and site safety coordination without duplicating functional responsibilities.
- Serve as primary security liaison with law enforcement, emergency responders, and external agencies.
- Build strong working relationships with leadership teams to drive security awareness and policy compliance. Security Operations & Vendor Management
- Manage contracted security vendors, guard force performance, equipment suppliers, and related service providers.
- Oversee staffing plans, post coverage, and security resource deployment supporting 24/7 operations.
- Monitor security performance metrics and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets related to security staffing, systems, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 7-10 years of progressive security experience, including at least 3-5 years in leadership or management capacity.
- Experience managing physical security, access control systems, investigations, and security operations within industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV platforms, incident investigation practices, and security risk management principles.
- Working knowledge of OSHA-related workplace considerations and emergency response coordination.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and crisis management capability.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and implement governance processes in fast-paced environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security-related software systems. Essential Functions (ADA & Workers' Comp Ready):
- Perform regular facility walkthroughs, including climbing stairs and accessing all areas of the warehouse and office.
- Maintain visual and auditory awareness of surroundings to detect unusual or suspicious activities.
- Operate security technology, including surveillance systems, access control software, and communication devices.
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods while monitoring security posts or responding to incidents.
- Respond physically to emergencies, including the ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs in urgent situations.
- Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via radio or written reports.
