Job Description
Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS Search, Security, and Observability (SSO) Finance team. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for AWS SSO services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new SSO feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. Key job responsibilities
- Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
- Owning the services end to end of revenue creation, and influence business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations
- Partner with finance, business, and sales teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
