Job Summary Join our team as an Unarmed Security Guard, where your vigilance and commitment to safety will help protect our facilities, staff, and visitors. In this energetic role, you will monitor premises through surveillance systems, perform regular patrols, and ensure a secure environment for all. Your proactive approach will contribute to loss prevention, conflict management, and emergency response efforts, creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address security concerns or hazards Monitor CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as needed to maintain a secure environment Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting theft or vandalism attempts Support emergency procedures by providing first aid or CPR when necessary and operating AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes Skills Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections Background in military, law enforcement, or security roles that enhance situational awareness and response capabilities Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED operation, and basic emergency response protocols Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or safety purposes Familiarity with security equipment such as Taser devices (where legally permitted) and other non-lethal tools Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Experience in performing background checks and loss prevention techniques effectively Strong communication skills to coordinate with emergency responders and team members This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to uphold safety standards while developing their expertise in security operations.
