Job Description The Safety and Security Specialist
II - ABF
Freight oversees the field safety meeting program, manages driver alerts, and coordinates responses to service center inspections. This position serves as the department's liaison with government agencies and guides field management in the response to safety and security incidents. Responsibilities Approve and process state truck driving championship entries and national championships. Analyze data and reports to determine terminals for selection and placement for the quality awards. Analyze accident trends and determine root cause. Review and process safety-related documentation. Prepare and distribute safe driving driver recognition notifications. Provide monthly accident and injury reports for departments. Administer various programs for safety driver awards. Review and process MVRs and citations. Coordinate and administer the fleet safety contest application process. Provide safety-related data and reports upon request. Collect safety meeting attendance percentages and work with service center managers for 100% compliance. Review and process Supervision driver CDL alerts. Maintain service center inspection reports and follow-up for completion of 2-week responses. Manage incidents and direct field personnel involving accident investigations. Conduct daily audits to ensure compliance. Provide information and support to other department managers, as needed. Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment. Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals. Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Requirements Education:
Associate's Degree, preferred Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience:
1 year of equivalent safety-related experience. 1 year of event planning.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required Strong knowledge in data entry, processing reports, and maintain files, required
Additional Requirements:
Must be organized and have strong attention to detail.

Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
