Security Officer II:
Hours vary with different shifts to cover department needs. Works primarily in the Emergency Department. This position is based within
Jefferson Regional Safety and Security Department Job Summary:
The Security Officer is charged with the responsibility to prevent crimes, investigate incidents, educate employees, deal with combative persons, detain persons for the police department, and perform numerous service tasks.
Security Officer II Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical or Associate Degree in law enforcement, social science, physiology, or other related fields preferred. BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire. Firearm Certification required upon hire and obtain annually. This is a safety sensitive position.

Minimum Requirements :
Minimum 8 years of experience in law enforcement (i.e., policer officer, military, parole probation, Arkansas department of corrections, etc.) Letter of recommendation from SCA mental health Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and manage conflicts. Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly to emergencies Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding safety, security, and patient confidentiality Strong knowledge of emergency procedures, de-escalation techniques, and conflict resolution
Preferred Requirements :
Preferred 1 year of supervisory experience in a health care environment or other setting. Knowledge of security operations and protocols in healthcare or hospital environments Experience in hospital or healthcare security preferred
