Job Description
American Guard Services is seeking a licensed Armed Security Officer to provide professional protective services at a client site in Cottonwood, Arizona. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through visible presence, access control, patrols, and rapid response to incidents while complying with all Arizona DPS regulations and company policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a visible armed security presence to deter criminal activity Control access to the property in accordance with post orders Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas Monitor surroundings for suspicious activity and safety hazards Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and emergencies Use sound judgment and de‑escalation techniques when handling confrontations Properly carry and maintain assigned firearms and less‑than‑lethal equipment Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and law enforcement when required Adhere to all company policies, client procedures, and Arizona DPS armed guard regulations Required Qualifications Valid Arizona DPS Armed Guard License (required) Ability to legally carry firearms and required security equipment Professional appearance, demeanor, and communication skills Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods Required Equipment Level II or higher duty holster Ballistic vest - Level II minimum, concealable Less‑Than‑
