Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE
To perform the duties of a Security Guard in accordance with established quality and performance standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In addition to performing Essential Functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions based upon the requirements of the organization. Make rounds every hour inside the facility. Checks all exterior doors to see that they are locked. Makes rounds outside the facility every 3 hours. Responds to safety issues when necessary. Reports any incident in writing to the Plant Operations Manager. Covers reception area when needed. Responds to emergency situations when needed. Insures that all policies and procedures regarding security are fulfilled. All staff is required to follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times. Staff must ensure that their Department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are maintained. Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to immediate supervisor/manager Report all accidents/incidents to immediate supervisor/manager within 24hrs. All staff must wear protective clothing and equipment when handling infectious waste and or blood/body fluids or when doing Hazardous work i.e. working with chemicals, electrical or day to day maintenance repairs. All Staff are required to participate in Oodham Center Care - Managers/Supervisors will help staff in assisting in participating in Person Centered Care.
QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years experience in security operations; Drivers License with a clean driving record.
