We are currently looking for a dependable, alert, and professional Security Officer for an overnight cemetery security assignment from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM . About This Assignment This is an overnight standing security position at a cemetery .
Shift Hours:
10:00 PM - 4:30 AM The officer assigned to this location will be responsible for monitoring the property overnight, conducting scheduled patrols, identifying unauthorized persons or vehicles, observing unusual activity, and documenting conditions throughout the shift. Because this is an overnight cemetery assignment, applicants must be comfortable working in a quiet, outdoor environment with limited activity and minimal direct supervision. This is not a position where you can sleep, remain in your vehicle all night, or disengage from the post . Officers are expected to remain alert, conduct required patrols, and actively monitor the property throughout the shift. Expectations of the Security Officer In this role, you will help protect the cemetery property, maintain a visible security presence, conduct regular patrols, document activity, and respond professionally to issues as they arise. Security Officers are expected to remain alert, follow post orders, communicate clearly, and provide dependable service throughout the entire overnight shift. You must be comfortable working independently and using good judgment when circumstances require contacting dispatch, supervision, law enforcement, or other appropriate resources. Overnight Cemetery Security Officer Schedule:
10:00 PM - 4:30 AM Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently report to the assigned cemetery location on time. Weekend and holiday availability may be required depending on the assigned schedule. Pay and Bonus Opportunity Base pay is $19.00 per hour . In addition to hourly pay, Security Officers may be eligible for KPI performance bonuses of up to $4,000 extra per year . KPI bonuses are based on measurable performance factors such as: Attendance and punctuality Professionalism Report quality Patrol completion Post performance Client feedback Policy compliance Overall reliability Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the cemetery property. Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols according to post orders. Monitor entrances, gates, buildings, roadways, parking areas, and other designated areas. Identify and report unauthorized persons, vehicles, suspicious activity, vandalism, trespassing, safety concerns, maintenance issues, and unusual conditions. Ensure designated areas, gates, or access points are properly monitored according to site procedures. Use mobile security reporting software to complete daily activity reports, patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation. Document patrols and observations accurately throughout the shift. Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, clients, visitors, and law enforcement when needed. Follow all post orders, company policies, client expectations, and supervisor instructions. Respond to incidents calmly, professionally, and within company guidelines. Escalate issues appropriately and request assistance when necessary. Maintain a clean uniform, professional appearance, and dependable attendance. Remain awake, alert, and engaged throughout the entire 10:00 PM - 4:30 AM shift . Represent City Wide Protection Services with professionalism, patience, and accountability. Qualifications Valid California Guard Card preferred. 1-2 years of security experience preferred. Prior overnight security experience is a plus. Smartphone with internet access required. Reliable transportation required. Ability to consistently work 10:00 PM - 4:30 AM . Comfortable working overnight at a cemetery property . Comfortable working independently with limited supervision. Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert throughout the shift. Comfortable working outdoors and in low-light conditions. Comfortable using mobile apps or security reporting software. Strong observation skills and attention to detail. Professional communication skills. Ability to write clear and accurate reports. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
