Are you ready to join the Sunset Marquis family? Click below to apply! Job Summary The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment. Protect guests, employees, and property by patrolling the property grounds, hallways, parking lots, stairwells, elevators, pool areas, hotel rooms, etc. Responsible for monitoring security cameras and filling out paperwork. If the situation calls for it, security personnel may also work with the local law enforcement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information, including reports and documents. Release information only to authorized individuals. Respond to all phone and email inquiries in a timely and respectful manner. Attend to and resolve guest concerns/issues quickly, efficiently, and courteously, while making guest satisfaction a priority. Issue and receive keys to and from designated hotel personnel; Maintain accurate records and ensure safekeeping in accordance to departmental procedures. Check and inspect any removal of hotel property and ensure that employee presents a completed Property Removal Pass. Ensure all non-hotel personnel arriving at employee entrance are properly escorted while on property according to hotel policy. Ensure that after-hours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored, and documented in accordance with hotel standards. Monitor surveillance cameras. Patrol the property, checking all designated points and document all actions taken in accordance with departmental standards. Ensure all guest room corridors, room doors, emergency exits, stairwells, property access doors/gates are secure. Identify and handle suspicious persons on hotel property in accordance with departmental procedures. Conduct designated investigations (i.e. theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest complaints) and complete documented reports in accordance with departmental procedures.Competencies include:

Adapt to frequent change, fast paced environment, delays, or unexpected events. Pays close attention to details. Ability to multitask and uses time efficiently and effectively. Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.Requirements:
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Luxury hotel and/or luxury residence experience is preferred. High-volume/fast-paced environment experience preferred. Must have flexible work availability- all shifts (morning, evening, graveyard), weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are subject to change. Proficient in English- verbal and written. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations First Aid/CPR certification. California Guard Card. Valid California Driver's License.Physical Requirements include:
