Security Guard

MOCA Humboldt is a small, licensed cannabis microbusiness - cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and retail storefront, located in downtown Eureka. We are looking to grow our team!

Description:

Security guards are the gatekeepers to MOCA's retail space. They are responsible for checking and verifying ID's, physician recommendations, and expiration dates for all customers who wish to enter the retail space. Must be able to work evening shifts.

Hours and Classification:

Part-time, non-exempt

Rates of Pay:

DOE Reports to: the Retail Manager and the CEO Responsibilities Greets customers and maintains a friendly and positive attitude Checks ID's, physician recommendations, and expiration dates for all customers Accurately enters and verifies patient info into POS system Performs opening and closing procedures, including end of day common area cleaning Follows company policies, protocols, and all safety and compliance regulations Assists as needed with other tasks throughout the facility Communicates through company emails and Slack Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Must be able to pass a Livescan background check Must agree to complete Guard Card training and certification, including continuing education requirements each year Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to eight hours per day Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs Must be free of any sprays, perfumes or odors that might cross-contaminate products or negatively affect customer experience Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Must adhere to working in a sober environment The above description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
