Security Ambassador 7/25/2026 Department Summary UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is a unique Southern California meeting and retreat venue. Located high in the pine-studded San Bernardino Mountains on the tranquil shores of Lake Arrowhead, our 50-acre lodge provides meeting space and accommodations for groups from September through mid-June. During the summer, Bruins Woods Family Camp program runs for ten consecutive weeks, with up to 80 families attending each week. Position Summary Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, the Security Ambassador is responsible for the safety and security, of the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge (LAL), team members, and physical assets. Incumbent acts as a liaison with UCLA Administration, San Bernardino County Sheriff, and County and/or Cal Fire Department and other emergency departments. The Security Ambassador performs routine tasks such as perimeter checks and completes daily shift reports. Incumbent also completes incident reports as necessary. Security Ambassador serves to meet the needs and requests for guests, as needed. Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays. Salary & Compensation

Qualifications 1+ Years Experience in security, loss prevention, or related field (Required) Working knowledge of security and safety procedures (Required) Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures for both personal and public safety (Required) Demonstrated ability to address emergency situations (Required) Ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner (Required) Ability to sufficiently communicate in written and verbal English to receive work assignments and share information with supervisors and colleagues (Required) Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a team (Required) Ability to work efficiently under conditions of a fluctuating work load with frequent interruptions and distractions (Required) Ability to remain calm in the face of adversity, such as guest dissatisfaction (Required) Skill in writing grammatically correct business English, such as conference proposals, memos, and other routine correspondence (Required) Proficiency in general office, productivity, and computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook) (Required) Skill in reading and comprehending technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, and troubleshooting guides used in the installation and repair of technical surveillance equipment (Preferred) Working knowledge of surveillance and access control systems (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations First Aid Certification (Preferred) CPR Certification (Preferred) AED Certification (Preferred) Valid Driver's License (Required) Special Conditions for Employment ground
