As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, storefront areas, and high-traffic public spaces for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and report issues to the appropriate contacts. Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or directional support during business hours, special events, and peak shopping periods while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Pepper spray certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
