One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Security Officer PD, you will ensure a reasonably safe and secure healthcare environment by promptly responding to security emergencies, maintaining a professional demeanor, and meticulously documenting all incidents and requests.

Every day you will observe and report activities/incidents at your assigned site, preserve order, enforce regulations and policies when assistance is requested by medical staff/employees, and support CommonSpirit Health's strategic plan and quality improvement activities.

Protecting staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner. Calls may include incidents such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes committed or in progress, or to emergency codes, and requests for opening doors. Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed; and report unsafe acts or conditions. Knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, and supplies, including of radios and hospital codes Reports HIPAA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches, conducts investigations, and writes incident reports. Ensures that all activities are logged. That incident reports are accurately completed that they are clear, concise, legible and submitted in a timely manner. Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to right location.
